About the game
You play as Isaac Clarke, an engineer trying to repair the USG Ishimura, a vast mining ship that suddenly turns into a nightmare. After the crew is slaughtered and Isaac’s partner Nicole is lost somewhere on board, you have to push deeper through the ship to find answers and track her down. You fight hostile Necromorphs using your engineering tools and skills while the horror around you gets worse. As you struggle to survive, the ship’s mystery also starts to break down your sanity.

Isaac Clarke is an everyman engineer on a mission to repair a vast mining ship, the USG Ishimura, only to discover something has gone horribly wrong. The ship's crew has been slaughtered and Isaac’s beloved partner, Nicole, is lost somewhere on board.
Now alone and armed with only his engineering tools and skills, Isaac races to find Nicole as the nightmarish mystery of what happened aboard the Ishimura unravels around him.
