About the game
Ghostwire: Tokyo is an adventure and action game set in a spooky version of Tokyo, where you solve a strange mystery while fighting off unsettling enemies. You play as a fighter using Ethereal Weaving in combat, taking on new threats with skills like Perfect Guard Counter Attack, Quick Dodge, and Charge Rush elemental attacks. This update adds new story areas including a Middle School section with new side missions, plus an all-new roguelite mode called “The Spider’s Thread,” where you clear randomly selected stages to uncover the mystery of the Tatariya and earn items as you go. You can also capture photos with an expanded Photo Mode, find graffiti for stamps, and unlock figures through Capsule Machines, with an option to reduce scary spiritual effects using SHIIBUYA♡HACHI stickers.

Explore New Areas and Go Deeper into the Story
Solve the spooky mystery in the all-new Middle School area, complete with the added “School Ghost” and “Spirit Photo” side missions, plus gain more insight into the main story of Ghostwire: Tokyo with extended cutscenes.
Test Your Skills in “The Spider’s Thread” Roguelite Mode
This update also includes a new game mode called “The Spider’s Thread,” separate from the main game and selectable from the main menu. Challenge yourself to solving the mystery of the Tatariya by clearing 30 randomly selected stages from over 120 tailored challenges to conquer!
This mode will even test veteran players, so be sure to level up by completing challenges such as collecting spirits or locating prized Nekomata Koban as you descend deeper and deeper down the Spider’s Thread. As you clear each stage, you will be rewarded with items such as emotes, figures and stamps which are also useable in the main game!
Expand Your New Spirit Skills to Battle New Foes
Your arsenal in combat grows with the new Perfect Guard Counter Attack and Quick Dodge maneuvers. Also added to the game are Charge Rush skills – powerful, short-range elemental attacks powered by your Ethereal Weaving. You’ll need powered up skills to face new enemies terrorizing Tokyo like the Retribution that can “swim” underground, the invisible Silent Gaze and the high-flying Sanguine Dancer.

Capture memorable photos with the expanded features of the Photo Mode. Find graffiti in the city to acquire stamps and unlock figures by using in-game currency called Meika in the new activity “Capsule Machines”. For those who really don’t like spooky games, you can replace certain spiritual effects with adorable SHIIBUYA♡HACHI stickers by utilizing the “Reduced Horror Effects” setting.
