About the game
Switchback VR is a fast-paced action-horror shooter where you ride a dark VR roller coaster and try to survive as the story throws different nightmares at you. You face distorted ghosts on a Ghost Ship, demonic “witches” in 17th-century New England, vampires trapped beneath a desert, and a serial killer in a World’s Fair Hotel, with each ride having multiple terrifying paths. The gameplay pushes your reactions as enemies appear close, you shoot them while moving through changing track routes, and you dodge threats like falling beams, overturned vehicles, and hanging witches. Eye tracking, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and headset rumble help bring the tension of each moment into the ride so every run feels different.
